In the past, I learned that many couples were often dreading the day when their engagement photography sessions were scheduled. They would shrink at the idea of someone capturing them and creating “cheesy” moments. I decided that I would change that narrative by allowing them to be photographed in the places that brought them joy.Â
My work as an engagement photographer has taken me from the brownstones of Brooklyn to the French Quarter in New Orleans to the white sands of New Mexico and the Puget Sound in Seattle; and I’ve discovered that something incredibly special happens when couples are free to be themselves in spaces that are authentic to both their individuality and relationship

The first question that I’m usually asked by couples is “How long does an engagement session last?” My response is, “There isn’t a time restraint. We’ll end the session when we’re ready.” I’ve been known to spend entire days with couples. It’s not an exhausting day of changing clothes, lights, camera or action. We watch their favorite movies, visit their favorite parks, restaurants and landmarks. Sometimes, we take a few photos in between. These components are a perfect combination for beautiful and natural engagement photos.
“Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.”
