In October, I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding editorial with Michelle Norwood for Wedding Sparrow. Wedding Sparrow is a wedding website curated with inspiration from art, tangible & natural materials. They also feature exclusive film photography. The whole design behind this wedding editorial was centered around The Seraphim House in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was originally built in 1860 by Seraphim Maspereau, before its renovation the house fell into desolation. Even as it fell apart, it was still a place known for parties and occupants. Michelle of Michelle Norwood Events used this inspiration to take on a moody, yet fine art approach to the shoot.
The dramatics from the candle sticks and the floral arrangements by Leaf and Petal Nola paired excellently with the Pearle Gown by Claire Pettibone. This Victorian style gown, with a modern twist, was the perfect addition. The long sleeves and floral lace motif’s highlight the vintage fine art appeal of this shoot. The mixing of era’s, vintage, and now was evident in every way.
